Establish the scope
Discuss measurements, design, engineering, existing conditions, and the property’s approval requirements. Identify who is responsible for each part. The specific project determines which professional services are needed.

Align the estimate and decisions
Review inclusions, exclusions, allowances, material choices, and the proposed sequence. Agree on purchasing responsibility, how changes are documented, and the arrangements for living around construction.

Coordinate construction
Construction connects trades, materials, inspections, and the work at the existing home. Confirm communication expectations and keep decisions documented as the project progresses.

Complete the handoff
Use the project agreement to define completion, walkthroughs, remaining items, relevant inspection closeout, and product or warranty information. Keep the records together for future questions.
